ABOUT ARA HAGOPIAN

Ara studied art and business at North Adams State

College, and received his MBA from Northeastern

University. Working entirely freehand, he paints in

the traditional style and draws in the abstract style.

Ara then utilizes a pixelization texturing process and

reproduces his work on photographic paper. Each

archival print is signed, numbered, and displayed

under glass. Ara has been featured on WBZ’s

New England Weekend, and his work has been

chosen by the Museum Council of the Museum of

Fine Arts, Boston for their 2008 Summer Party.

Ara's fiction writing combines his love for mid-

twentieth century historical texts as well as the

mystery fiction of the era (1935-55), as exemplified

in the dramatic radio plays of the works of

Cornell Woolrich, T.S. Striblin,W.F. Harvey,

Daschiell Hammett, John Dickson Carr, Geoffery

Household, and C.E. Montague.

By profession Ara is a senior marketing communications writer for a leading medical device company.
